The scammer with fake twitter account comment on popular twits (e.g. realDT) with screenshot of Elon Musk twit written about his new year free bitcoin gift. The link is https and .com, and look like a normal and authentic medium blog. The blog post explain in extent of the prize, and you will get 2x of the amount you send to btc address with minimum of 0.1 btc, and that is for verification. The blog post has a link to the gift home page, specifically designed for the giveaway, with live stats on the remaining giveaway btc. Personally I lost 0.0001 BTC . Little, I know, but was mine... ;-)
