This was some of the email sent to me: This is the email sent to me: Hi. How are you? I know, it’s unpleasant to start the conversation with bad news, but I have no choice. Few months ago, I have gained access to your devices that used by you for internet browsing. Afterwards, I could track down all your internet activities. Here is the history of how it could become possible: At first, I purchased from hackers the access to multiple email accounts (nowadays, it is a really simple thing to do online). As result, I could easily log in to your email account [email protected]. One week later, I installed Trojan virus in Operating Systems of all devices of yours, which you use to open email. Frankly speaking, it was rather straightforward (since you were opening the links from your inbox emails). Everything ingenious is quite simple. (o_0)! My software enables me with access to all controllers inside devices of yours, like microphone, keyboard and video camera. I could easily download to my servers all your private info, including the history of web browsing and photos. Contacted on Facebook Messenger. If I paid a certain amount I would receive money via Cashapp. Send more, get more. Nothing was ever enough. Then to "finalize" my payment they wanted me to buy $500 bitcoin in Cashapp and send to this long number. Once confronted, he had a female friend explain it, while being very pushing. This went on for 3 days. I never sent them the Bitcoin and they weren't very happy.

Said he has access to camera and browsing history. Pay $977 in 48 hours or my videos will be shared with all my contacts. Seemed to be sent from my email address but I am pretty sure it was spoofed. Either way, I don't care if anything is released. Was going to laugh and move on but looked up the wallet address and has over $6k transaction history so his scam has worked on several victims.

It was a basic Hi i "hacked" your accounts plz send money to this address. I found it rather hilarious as it was such a boilerplate email. Not sure who the abuser is but checking the potential source the email apparently originated in Japan and bounced from Argentina the source in Japan is Baratel.com and it was bounced from vps-1959975-x.dattaweb.com
