I have received a blackmail ransom email from this person (the exact same one as the previously mentioned ones). After researching on google how to get the IP and location of the person who sent the email (they don't seem to be using encryption or VPN even), I have found out that the IP address most likely has the below information: https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/186.182.219.12 https://www.findlatitudeandlongitude.com/?lat=53.3167&lon=-6.2333&zoom=7&map_type=G_NORMAL_MAP Using google maps, it seems that this is approximately the following address in Hurlingham: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gral.+Francisco+Miranda+1952,+Hurlingham,+Provincia+de+Buenos+Aires,+Argentina/@-34.5997327,-58.633424,19z/data=!4m13!1m7!3m6!1s0x95bcb93c30444d43:0x5440053a98279754!2sGral.+Francisco+Miranda,+Hurlingham,+Provincia+de+Buenos+Aires,+Argentina!3b1!8m2!3d-34.5946577!4d-58.6266357!3m4!1s0x95bcb9254ca172ad:0xe3bab116054b22ce!8m2!3d-34.5998505!4d-58.633375 Unfortunately I was not able to find out more information, and, of course, this could be information also falsified by them, but Claro Argentina may know exactly who this static IP address belongs to.

Got an email claiming he knows my password (one of my actual old passwords). Claimed to take video of me watching porn and will send it to my contacts if I don’t pay >$1000. Definitely a scam. My friend got the same email several months ago and have seen the same thing almost word-for-word from other users online.

It would be helpful if we could work together to figure out where this person got our email addresses and passwords as it is very unlikely he got them the way he is saying he did. If anyone of you use a forum mainly based in the UK or Ireland like I do which is where he probably got the details from can you name some and this way we could narrow down the list of suspects as it could be someone who has is an employee of one of these forums. If you have any other ideas where this blackmailer might have sourced your email and password from let us know and we might find a common link.
