I received an email from my own email address that said my account had been hacked and my device had been hacked and that Malware was installed on my device. They then threatened to send to all my contacts a video of me masturbating, that was hacked from my operating system, if I did not put $800 into this particular bitcoin account within 48 hours.

Both the email address and the password were those used *only* on the Livejournal.com social media site, for an account that was set to 'deleted' 13 months ago (and which was actually deleted by them last month). It would be very interesting to know if others here had an LJ account.

Ransomeware claims to have downloaded all confidential information from my laptop including porn videos of me (I have my web cam covered (Clearly Fake). They claim that they will send this information to my contacts in 48 hours if I do not make a payment of $800 USD in Bitcoin. The password they listed is an old password I used a few years ago, so this must have come from a social media site or LinkedIn.
