Automated emails using very (10+ year) old hacked email/password list, trying to convince you they have incriminating evidence.
The password they claimed was mine, is one I only ever used on third tier website sign ups, in case they ever got hacked.
I found the password in hacked password lists 15+ years ago, and changed the few unimportant sites I had used it on (obviously one of them had been hacked).
If you came here because your e-mail and password WAS STILL VALID, your password as been around for over a decade on the underbelly of the web, and you need to change it ASAP.
The scammers claims are all fake and generic. The email/password combos they are using are from old hacks, long publicly searchable (try whatever the scammer sent you on duckduckgo.com, no filters, should come up).
