Same email text as the others here. Email mentions having possession of a legacy password (included in Subject line of email) and then demands $2000 in bitcoin within 24 hours or damaging personal files will be released to friends and family.
Name in email was Ray Josey but the email underlying the name is from [email protected]
Indicates that this individual knows my password (old and defunct password) and demands $2000 in Bitcoin.
Claims he has my password and he will release video recordings of me (which is not possible since I do not have a webcam) to friends, co-workers, employers, parents, etc. unless I send $2,000 in bitcoin.
The following is a shortened version of the message received with a user name "Armond Zhang from the return email address: [email protected]. I am quoting exactly as written and spelled. Grammar and syntax is the sender's.
"I need your full attention for the upcoming Twenty-four hrs. or I may make sure that you live out of shame for the rest of your lifetime. Hello, you do not know me personally. Yet I know every thing about you. Your current fb contact list, phone contacts along with all the virtual activity in your computer from pat 115 days.
(A lot of nonsense about porn sites, videos, threats of reputation destruction follows, then the demand for money):
