Usual spoofed email pretending to be from yourself, mentions a Trojan installed on the firmware which is nonsense and fake. Asks for a sum in bitcoin equivalent to $950 to prevent the release of videos - which don't exist. Asks you to send the sum in 48 hours - don't do this as it's a scam. Asks you not to contact law enforcement which as a responsible security consultant I did anyway and provided details of the host ip used to send the email (in Nigeria) - hopefully the local police will be knocking on the kala's door

They claim I *need* to pay 950 USD for them to delete "sexual" videos of me. I know it's fake because the camera on my pc is physically covered all the time, and googling this BTC address and the email subject brings up multiple scam warnings from trusted and known sites. I'm just filing a report because it is the right thing to do.

Currently I have gained full access to your account. In addition, I was secretly monitoring all your activities and watching you for several months. The thing is your computer was infected with harmful spyware due to the fact that you had visited a website with porn content previously. [...] I have made a video compilation, which shows on the left side the scenes of you happily masturbating, while on the right side it demonstrates the video you were watching at that moment..ᵔ.ᵔ All I need is just to share this video to all email addresses and messenger contacts of people you are in communication with on your device or PC. Furthermore, I can also make public all your emails and chat history. I believe you would definitely want to avoid this from happening.
